Based on the episode ''Rowing Pain''.
Alexander's been through a series of hardships during the last weeks : he left his team down while they had to train for an upcoming rowing race, only because he absolutely wanted to buy a remote-controlled speedboat, which was costing arms and legs.
He finally ended up making a deal with Zephir, the ice-cream seller : he will buy him what he wants and in exchange, Alexander will work for him until his debts are paid back. But Alexander cheated again and pretended to go playing instead of working in Zephir's shop or training for the race.
But he was finally caught red-handed and scold severely. He regretted what he had done but it was too late for him : Flora replaced him as a member of the rowing team and successfully won, along with her teammate, and as a reward, they all got...a remote-controlled speedboat !
What a double shame and pain for Alexander, who's now working sadly without complaining...Weeks go on, and he's now done with his debts and can go playing again, but he refuses and keep working so hard, depriving himself from any source of pleasure or amusement, which causes Zephir and the others to get worried about him.
But one day, he cracks up after seeing children playing on the street while doing the dishes, breaks down in tears and goes back to the palace, locks himself in his bedroom and collapses on his bed, crying and weeping deeply. He lets no one get inside until Celeste, his mother and Queen of Celesteville, decides to enter the poor little child's room despite his refusal. She sits down next to him, try to talk, fails in drawing his attention but doesn't give up : if words can't, love will !
She picks him up and hold him very tight. Alexander needs time to explain why he feels like this and to express how shameful and stupid he feels. Celeste needs even more time to tell him how much everyone love him and think he's everything but stupid. They hug each other until the big sorrow vanishes away, letting Alexander ready for a very big, everlasting family cuddle and a good nap in Mummy's arms !
